Three Yankton Sisters Recognized for Years of Service
S. Margo Tschetter S. Consuelo Chavev S. Grace Feldhacker

S. Margo Tschetter

 

During the 2008 Gala, S. Margo Tschetter was recognized for her 28 years of dedicated teaching of 5th graders at Sacred Heart School in Yankton.  She now holds the record for the most consecutive years at the school.  During this time she has taught nearly 700 students and has guided her students to raise $13,000 for the school through baking projects.

In the fall, S. Margo will be returning for her 29th year at the school she also attended as a child.


S. Consuelo Chavez

 

S. Consuelo Chavez was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters at the May graduation ceremony at Mount Marty College.

S. Consuelo was recognized for her many years of service to the college as a faculty member, her years of missionary work in Guatemala, and her current ministry of assisting the Spanish-speaking immigrants of the local area.  She is well known and respected by government, health care and social service groups


S. Grace Feldhacker

S. Grace Feldhacker was honored at the annual Avera Sacred Heart Hospital Volunteer Luncheon with the Hazel Hani Volunteer of the Year Award.

She has been a volunteer at the hospital for 27 years in several departments, including many years in dietary, and continues to volunteer on a regular basis at the Avera Benedictine Center.

S. Grace has been one of the top sellers of tickets for the summer ice cream social which raises funds for special projects at Avera Sacred Heart.
