The sisters of Sacred Heart Monastery are as diverse as any group of people.  We like to fish, visit with each other, ride bikes, play cards, build snow people, and more.  The challenge for each of us is to maintain balance in our  lives.  Everyday, we take time for prayer (personal and communal); we attempt to allow all of our work to be a ministry; and we take time for rest, play, and leisure.  

Because we live on the banks of the Missouri River, we are blessed with a wide variety of birds and wild life (deer, bald eagles, wild turkeys, raccoons, cotton tails, squirrels, etc.).  Although we are all quite unique, it is safe to say that we all take delight in the abundance of animal life and natural beauty that blesses this part of the country.
