Outreach Mission Statement: As Yankton Benedictine women rooted in
a rural heritage, we seek to partner with others to address
the social needs of our time and place.

Women's Care Center of the Heartland Aims to Provide an Alternative to Abortion

The Women's Care Center of the Heartland is a "maternity home" for pregnant women who need safe, stable, temporary homes.  Sr. Clarice Korger is one of two full time social workers employed by the Center

Known as Yankton's "unofficial" Spanish translator, Sister Consuelo has aided hundreds of Yankton Hispanics through the years. Both English-speaking and non-English-speaking people rely on her expertise. Local Hispanics ask her to help talk to lawyers, teachers, doctors, bankers, law enforcement officers and merchants, and vice versa.
